Moroccan press reports have revealed that Al Ahly is close to finalizing the signing of Youssef Belamri, the star of Raja Casablanca, during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Reports confirmed that Al Ahly has made significant progress in negotiations to purchase the remaining duration of the player's contract for $500,000, as the club seeks to strengthen the left-back position in the team.

Moroccan reports indicated that Raja's management attempted to renew Belamri's contract for $400,000, but the offer did not convince the player. This prompted the Moroccan club's management to change their stance and prefer an offer from Al Ahly rather than risk losing him for free at the end of the current season.

Youssef Belamri delivered an outstanding performance with Raja Casablanca, where he was a key and effective player, winning both the league and the cup with the club in the 2023-2024 season.
