Sports critic Fathi Sanad revealed that the Egyptian national team granted Mahmoud Trezeguet rest due to undergoing dental treatment.
Fathi Sanad said on Facebook: "The Egyptian national team grants Trezeguet rest due to dental treatment.. and Ibrahim Adel is being prepared for the Zimbabwe match after suffering an ankle sprain.. Both players will miss tomorrow's match against Nigeria."
The Egyptian national team is preparing to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations, which will begin in Morocco from December 21 until January 18.
The Egyptian national team is placed in Group B alongside Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Angola.
