Milan Reaches Preliminary Agreement to Sign West Ham Striker
Tuesday 16-12-2025
'Calcio Mercato,' the Italian website, reported that AC Milan has reached a preliminary agreement with the German international Niklas Vollkrug ahead of the January transfer window, in a move to strengthen the team's striker position, while the club still needs to reach an agreement with West Ham United before finalizing the deal officially.

This move comes amid Milan's need to reinforce the attacking line, especially with the uncertain future of Santiago Giménez, who joined the Rossoneri from Feyenoord last winter, and coach Massimiliano Allegri's reliance on Christopher Nkunku, Rafael Leão, and Christian Pulisic, all of whom have faced injury and fitness issues this season.

Reports confirmed that Vollkrug has instructed his agents to postpone any other offers to prioritize the move to Milan, and the Italian club is seeking to secure the deal on a loan basis until the end of the 2025/2026 season, committing to cover the player's salary, which is about 1.5 million euros during the loan period.

According to the source, talks with West Ham are still ongoing to finalize the details of the deal, while Vollkrug's arrival is seen as an important step to strengthen Milan's attack ahead of the crucial phase of the season.
