Al Ahly Considers Signing Pablo Al-Sabbagh Amid Concerns Within the Management
Officials of the Egyptian club Al Ahly are considering signing the Syrian Pablo Al-Sabbagh, striker of the South Korean club Suwon, to strengthen the red team's attacking line during the upcoming winter transfer window, as the management seeks to provide new offensive solutions before the season resumes.
The name Pablo Al-Sabbagh has returned to Al Ahly's circle of interest again, after the option to sign the Jordanian Yazan Al-Naemat, striker of Al-Arabi Qatar, was ruled out following his injury with a torn ACL during his participation with his national team in the Arab Cup "Qatar 2025".
According to the program "With Shobair" broadcast on On Sport FM radio, there is a state of concern within Al Ahly's management regarding signing Al-Sabbagh, especially due to his inclination towards rap music, which the management fears might negatively affect his focus and professional career within the team.
The same source added that there are other concerns related to the player holding multiple nationalities, which could complicate the procedures for granting him a Palestinian passport and treating him as a local player, a factor influencing the finalization of the deal.
Despite this, Pablo Al-Sabbagh remains among the list of forwards shortlisted to join Al Ahly this winter, alongside Osama Faisal from Bank Al Ahly, Ali Alwan, the Jordanian national team striker, and Al-Karma from Iraq.
