Dispute Between Jesus and Carreño Postpones Al-Nassr and Al-Riyadh Friendly Match
Monday 15-12-2025
Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, head of Al-Nassr club, rejected the proposal to hold a friendly match against Al-Riyadh during the current break period due to a disagreement over the proposed date for the match.

Jesus objected to the condition set by the Uruguayan coach Daniel Carreño, who insisted on holding the match on December 19, instead of the date preferred by Al-Nassr's technical staff, which was the 17th of the same month.

The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that Al-Nassr's coach did not show flexibility regarding changing the match date, which led him to temporarily reject the idea despite the need to play a preparatory match during the break.

The same sources indicated that there are ongoing attempts between the two parties to agree on a mutually acceptable date for Jesus, without affecting the team's preparation schedule.

The Saudi League Association had decided to postpone the tenth round of the Roshn League following the Saudi national team's qualification for the Arab Cup semifinals and their upcoming match against Jordan.

Al-Nassr is preparing to face a tough match against Iraq's Al-Zawraa on December 24th, as part of the AFC Champions League 2, at Al-Orobah Park Stadium in Riyadh.

Al-Nassr continues to lead the Roshn Saudi League standings with 27 points, having won all nine of their first matches, achieving a perfect record so far.
