Al-Ettifaq Confirms Its Position Regarding Al-Ghannam After Interest from Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah
Monday 15-12-2025
Al-Ettifaq Club has announced its official stance regarding its winger Khaled Al-Ghannam, confirming its refusal to allow his departure during the upcoming January 2026 winter transfer window, despite interest from Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah in signing him.

The decision to reach an agreement comes because Al-Ghannam is under contract until 2028, and the technical team needs his services during the current season, making his departure difficult at this time.

The player's contract includes a penalty clause of 46 million riyals, which any club can activate without needing the current club's approval, according to Al-Riyadiyah newspaper on Sunday morning.

Al-Ghannam was a target for many clubs, especially Al-Ahly, which has included the player among its options to strengthen its squad in the upcoming winter transfer market.

Al-Ghannam struggled last season during his loan to Al-Hilal, where he played in 16 matches and scored one goal, before returning to Al-Ettifaq and showing impressive form this season.

This season, Al-Ghannam has scored four goals and provided two assists in 11 matches with Al-Ettifaq, highlighting his technical importance to the team and confirming the management's commitment to him.
