Brazil's Flamengo beats Pyramids 2-0 in Intercontinental Cup semi-final
Brazil's Flamengo club defeated Pyramids club 2-0 in the match held this evening, Saturday, in the Intercontinental Cup semi-final and Challenge Cup final at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Doha.
Leo Pereira scored Flamengo's first goal in the 24th minute, and then Danilo Luiz da Silva added Flamengo's second goal in the 52nd minute.
With this result, Flamengo wins the Challenge Cup and qualifies for the Intercontinental Cup final.
It is worth mentioning that Pyramids had qualified for the Intercontinental semi-finals after defeating Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli Jeddah with a score of 3-1, securing the title of the "Africa, Asia, and Pacific Cup."
While Flamengo of Brazil rose to prominence after winning the Copa América title by defeating Mexico's Cruz Azul 2-1 last Wednesday.
The Intercontinental Cup final between Paris Saint-Germain, the European champion from France, and Flamengo will be held on Wednesday, December 17th.
