Italian coach Simone Inzaghi of Al-Hilal Saudi Club is close to regaining the services of right-back Hamad Al-Yami during the current break linked to the Saudi national team's participation in the FIFA Arab Cup 2025.

Al-Yami is on the verge of returning to group training after completing the final stage of his rehabilitation program following his recovery from a hamstring injury.

The player had sustained an injury during the match against Al-Najma, which ended with Al-Hilal winning 4-2 in the eighth round of the Roshn Saudi League.

The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that Al-Yami, 26 years old, has started touching the ball and undergoing intensive physical training in preparation for his full return before the resumption of local competitions.

As part of the preparations, Al Hilal is playing a friendly match against Bahrain's Al Muharraq during its training camp in Al Ain, UAE, before concluding the camp and returning to Riyadh.

Al Hilal occupies second place in the Roshn League standings, four points behind the leader Al Nassr. They also continue to top their group in the AFC Champions League Elite with a perfect record of 15 points.
