Saturday 13-12-2025
Al Bayt Stadium in the Qatari city of Al Khor will host a highly anticipated match between the national teams of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, as part of the semifinals of the Arab Cup "Qatar 2025," on the evening of next Monday in a game eagerly awaited by the Arab public.

The history of encounters between the two national teams is characterized by competitiveness and closeness, as their matches have often been decided by small details, amid a long-standing rivalry spanning decades of balanced football competition.

The direct encounters between the two national teams have seen 16 official and friendly matches, in which the Saudi team achieved 9 victories, Jordan secured 6 wins, and one match ended in a draw.

Monday's match marks the third encounter between Saudi Arabia and Jordan in the history of the Arab Cup, following their meetings in the 1985 and 2021 editions, which saw varying results between the two teams.

The Saudi national team recorded its biggest victory over Jordan with a 4-0 win during the 1985 Arab Cup, marking one of its most notable historical moments against Al-Nashama.

On the other hand, the Jordanian national team succeeded in defeating Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the 2021 Arab Cup, confirming the difficulty of the matches between the two sides in recent years.

Jordan also holds its biggest victory over Al-Akhdar, having won 3-0 in the West Asian Football Federation Championship in August 2019, adding extra excitement to the anticipated semifinal clash.
