Al Ahly's Position on the Al-Naimat Deal After His Injury
Sports journalist Ahmed Shobeir revealed Al Ahly's position regarding the signing of Jordanian player Yazan Al-Naimat, the star of Al-Arabi SC and the Jordan national team, following the player's injury.
The Jordan Football Association officially announced that Yazan Al-Naimat has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear after undergoing the necessary medical examinations following the Jordan vs. Iraq match in the Arab Cup quarterfinals.
The player was injured in the early minutes of the first half and left the field as he was unable to continue the match.
Shobeir confirmed on his program "Al-Nazer" that Al Ahly had finalized the agreement to sign Al-Naimat during the upcoming winter transfer window, but the player's injury caused confusion within Al Ahly's contract management.
Shobeir added that Al-Naimat's injury will keep him off the field for 9 months, which is almost an entire season, and he wondered: "Will Al Ahly wait for the player until next season? God knows."
