Jordanian National Team Qualifies for Arab Cup Semifinals at the Expense of Iraq
The Jordanian national team succeeded in qualifying for the Arab Cup semifinals by defeating the Iraqi national team 1-0 in the match held on Friday evening at the Education City Stadium in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Jordan's goal was scored by Ali Al-Alwan in the 41st minute from a penalty kick, awarded by the referee after consulting the video assistant referee (VAR) due to a handball by an Iraqi player.
The Jordanian team will face the Saudi national team in the tournament's semifinals.
