Press reports revealed that the Spanish club Girona is considering signing Mostafa Shobeir, the goalkeeper of Al Ahly SC.

According to Mateo Moretti via Radio Marca Spain, Girona is weighing between Mostafa Shobeir and the Spanish Diego Conde, Villarreal's goalkeeper, as the two main options to finalize the goalkeeper deal during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Mostafa Shobeir has recently been playing regularly for Al Ahly, taking the starting position over Mohamed El-Shenawy, due to the great confidence the Danish coach Jes Thorup has in the young goalkeeper.

Shobeir is included in the Egypt national team's squad participating in the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Egyptian national team is preparing to compete in the Africa Cup of Nations from December 21 to January 18 in Morocco.
