Mimi Sends a Message to Arnold Before Facing Jordan
Monday 15-12-2025
Iraqi national team player Mohannad Ali "Mimi" sent a clear message to his coach Graham Arnold before the match against Jordan in the quarter-finals of the Arab Cup Qatar 2025.

The Lions of Mesopotamia will face the Jordanian national team at the Education City Stadium at 5:30 PM Doha time.

According to special sources: "Iraqi national team striker Mohannad Ali sent a reassuring message to the Lions of Mesopotamia coach Graham Arnold through his performance in yesterday's training session, as the player showed great readiness and completely overcame the pain he suffered in the waist area due to a bruise sustained during the last match against Algeria."

They added: "Through running and ball-playing exercises, the player convinced the coach of his ability to play a full match and confirmed to the medical staff that his condition has greatly improved. He also informed his teammates of his desire to start in the match against Al-Nashama, given the importance of the game and that winning it would satisfy the fans."

They continued: "Coach Graham Arnold wants to support Mohannad Ali in tomorrow’s match through the wingers, as well as by having a playmaker close to him for most of the minutes. Arnold is expected to start his plan differently by replacing one of the forwards with a midfielder capable of supplying Mimi with passes, with player Karrar Nabiya considered the most likely for this role."

They clarified: "Mohannad Ali has always impressed Australian coach Graham Arnold thanks to his calm personality during training, possessing leadership qualities by helping his teammates, speaking positively, and not causing problems or objections. Therefore, Arnold expects Mohannad Ali to harmonize well with player Ammar Mohsen to compensate for the continued absence of Ayman Hussein."
