Yazan Al-Naamat on Al Ahly's Doorstep
Sports journalist Ahmed Shobeir revealed that Jordanian player Yazan Al-Naamat, star of Qatar's Al-Arabi and the Jordanian national team, is close to joining Al-Ahly next January.
Shobeir confirmed in radio statements that Al Ahly club officials have finalized an agreement with Al-Naimat to strengthen the Red Giant's attack in the upcoming January.
He added that Al Ahly has finalized all agreements to sign the player, and only a financial agreement with the Qatari club Al Arabi remains. He emphasized that Al Ahly officials refuse to resort to using the release clause in the player's contract, which amounts to 1.5 million.
Al Ahly is preparing to face their counterpart Enppi tomorrow, Friday, in the first round of the group stage of the Egypt Capital Cup.
