Manchester City defender Neco O'Riley appeared in a press statement following the 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the sixth round of the Champions League group stage.

The young defender said: "It's an amazing feeling. Coming here... what an atmosphere, what a stadium. It's very difficult to play here, but we got the three points, and that's what matters most."

He added about the goal he scored: "It was a very special moment — I feel very happy. This goal will stay with me forever, but we got the three points, and that’s the most important thing."

He continued: "Did Haaland give you any advice on how to finish an attack? He did give me some tips, actually!"

Regarding his frequent participation with the team, he said: "I really enjoy it, and I take each match step by step. I work hard in every training session, and I truly love what I am experiencing right now."

He continued, "We know how strong Real Madrid is. We have played against them in past seasons, and they are a very strong team. What happened today shows how good our performance and level currently are. We will have a good chance to reach the next round."

He concluded: "In the first few minutes, I was a bit slow, and I could have prevented the first goal, but I believe I made up for it later."
