ZED Settles the Debate Over Al Ahly's Negotiations to Sign Ahmed Tarek
A press report revealed today the position of ZED Club's management on the possibility of Ahmed Tarek, the team's defender, transferring to Al Ahly during the upcoming winter transfer window, amid recent rumors about the Red Castle's interest in signing him.
The Youm7 website stated that ZED Club's management denied any official negotiations from Al Ahly's side to contract Ahmed Tarek, affirming that the rumors are nothing more than talks from some player agents, without any official move so far.
The report pointed out that ZED officials are waiting for an official offer from Al Ahly if there is a genuine desire to sign the player, in order to present it to the coaching staff led by Mohamed Shawky to make the final decision in the best interest of the club.
This comes while Danish coach Jes Thorup, Al Ahly's head coach, has requested signing a local defender during the next winter transfer window to strengthen the team's backline, coinciding with Al Ahly's preparations to face Enppi, scheduled for next Friday in the first round of the Egypt Capital Cup.
