Former Italian star Antonio Cassano launched a fierce and unprecedented attack on former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher, following Carragher's repeated criticisms of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah.

Cassano began his controversial remarks by saying, "Carragher, before talking about Salah, you need to wash your mouth first," questioning Carragher's competence as a football analyst and his ability to evaluate a player of Salah's caliber, whom he described as "a phenomenon."

Cassano praised Mohamed Salah's great achievements with the English club, reminding Carragher that he is talking about "the third highest scorer in Liverpool's history," and a player who was a decisive factor in the team's victories in major tournaments like the Champions League.

In contrast, Cassano mocked Carragher's career, pointing out that he spent his entire career at Liverpool but was a "die-hard Everton fan," and lacked the competence to criticize a player of Salah's caliber.

In concluding his statements, Cassano went as far as to claim that Salah anticipated Carragher's reaction and deliberately threw out the media "bait" to see who would take it, clearly indicating that Carragher was the one who fell into the trap.

Casano confirmed that Salah is currently more important and famous than Carragher, advising the latter to stay at home if he doesn't understand what is going on, which further intensified the tension between the two sides in the media.
