Lewandowski Opens the Door to Leaving Barcelona
Friday 12-12-2025
The Spanish newspaper 'Sport' revealed that the future of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski has become one of the crucial files expected to be resolved by Barcelona's management and coaching staff in the coming months, amid the complexity of his continued presence with the team.

The newspaper explained that the player has already started to open the door to listen to offers from outside the Catalan club in preparation for several possible scenarios for his future career, with some advanced options awaiting Barcelona's final decision.

According to the same source, Lewandowski and his circle have received offers from Saudi Arabia and the American league, in addition to a specific offer from the Italian club Milan, which recently held a meeting with the player to present its sports project and plan for the Polish striker.

Information confirms that Milan's offer appeals to Lewandowski and his family both sportingly and in terms of living conditions, but he will not give his approval before Barcelona decides on his continuation. Reports also indicate that the player has been intensifying his training recently.

The newspaper clarified that Milan bases its negotiations on the success of contracting another veteran player like Luka Modrić, who is regaining his form in the Italian league. The club is also prepared to present a guaranteed offer for two seasons, something Barcelona is not considering.

The newspaper added that Lewandowski's file at Barcelona remains completely frozen, as his contract ends at the end of the season and no real renewal talks have taken place, despite the club knowing the player's readiness to continue for another year with acceptance of a different role and a significant salary reduction. The report confirmed that the decision will primarily be sporting, depending on the player's fluctuating performance this season and his physical condition.

According to the report, the economic aspect will also influence the decision, given the difficulty of signing a top-class striker in the current market. Meanwhile, Lewandowski remains one of the top scorers in Europe, and Barcelona can keep him without a transfer fee if there is technical conviction. If they decide to let him go, the club will need to sign a new striker, possibly a future project if financial conditions allow.
