The Saudi Al-Ahli team's training session on Tuesday evening saw the return of Algerian duo Riyad Mahrez and Turkish player Merih Demiral, after their vacation ended, to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming friendly match.

The two players underwent comprehensive physical tests immediately after joining, just like their teammates who underwent the same examinations yesterday, Monday, to ensure they are fully prepared ahead of the match against Raja Casablanca.

The training session demonstrated the foreign players' perfect readiness, led by the Englishman Ivan Toney, the team's striker, who continues to shine and is preparing to deliver an outstanding performance in the friendly match.

Al-Ahli is preparing to face Morocco's Renaissance Sportive de Berkane next Friday, as part of the team's training program during the break, which coincides with the Saudi national team's participation in the 2025 Arab Cup.

Al-Ahli occupies fourth place in the Saudi League standings with 19 points after nine rounds, and holds the same position in the Asian Championship with 10 points after five rounds.

The club's technical staff aims to use the friendly match against Raja to enhance player cohesion and fine-tune tactical plans before resuming official competitions at both the domestic and continental levels.
