Ahmed Abdelkader, a player for Al Ahly Club, intends to pursue a new professional experience in one of the Gulf leagues during the upcoming winter transfer window, if an agreement is not reached with the club’s management to extend his contract, which expires at the end of the current season.

According to Al-Youm Al-Sabea website, Abdelkader has tentatively decided to move to the Gulf if his negotiations with Al Ahly fail, especially since he wants to take on a new challenge away from the Egyptian league.

The same source confirmed that Al-Ahly club management is still awaiting the player's response to the latest contract renewal offer, after giving Abdelkader a one-week deadline to finalize his decision, a deadline that has already passed without an official reply.

Press reports indicate that Al Ahly offered Ahmed Abdelkader an annual salary of up to 17 million Egyptian pounds to renew his contract, while the player demanded twice that amount. This has caused the negotiations to stall so far, as they await the crucial hours that will determine his future with the team.
