Manchester United Seeks to Retain Mazraoui, Mbeumo, and Diallo Ahead of Africa Cup of Nations

Manchester United continues its efforts to coordinate with the relevant football associations to keep its three African players—Noussair Mazraoui, Bryan Mbeumo, and Amad Diallo—available for the upcoming match against Bournemouth before they join their national teams' camps in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Manchester United coach Rúben Amorim explained in comments following his team's match against Wolverhampton that the club's management is in intensive contact with the national teams. He said, "The club is in continuous communication with the relevant federations. We are awaiting what will happen midweek. I don't have a final answer yet, but the dialogue is ongoing, and that is a positive sign."

Amorim hopes to rely on the three players during the match against Bournemouth scheduled for Monday, December 15, as part of the sixteenth round of the English Premier League.

The players were originally scheduled to leave their clubs on December 8 to join their national teams, but the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) decided to postpone the mandatory date to December 15, in response to a request from several European clubs that asked for an additional grace period before releasing their players.

Nacer Mazraoui's situation remains undecided, as it has not yet been confirmed whether he will join the Moroccan national team's training camp before the match against Bournemouth or afterward, pending a final decision from the relevant parties.

Amid these ongoing communications, the club remains in a race against time to ensure it benefits from its players before the start of the major continental competition.
