Sudden Return.. Doumbia Ready to Explode with Al-Ittihad After Recovering from Injury
Monday 08-12-2025
Al-Ittihad Saudi Club has regained the services of Malian midfielder Mahamoudou Doumbia after he recovered from a recent injury that had kept him away from training.

Doumbia sustained a groin injury during his participation against Al-Shabab in the quarterfinals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, which forced him to be absent in recent days.

Al-Riyadiyah, the Saudi newspaper, confirmed that the player has fully completed his treatment phase and is now able to return to participate in matches with Al-Ittihad without any medical restrictions.

Doumbia participated in two consecutive training sessions on Sunday and Monday at Al-Ittihad's camp held in Dubai, taking advantage of the break in the Roshn Saudi League due to the Arab Cup tournament.

The Saudi national team is participating in this year's edition of the tournament, which Qatar is hosting from December 1 to 18, giving the federation a greater opportunity to prepare its injured players.

Al-Ittihad team is preparing to play a friendly match against UAE's Palm City next Wednesday, and will conclude their training camp with a match against Gulf United on Sunday.

Al-Ittihad occupies seventh place in the Roshn League standings with 14 points, earned from four wins, two draws, and three losses.
