Al Masry SC is looking to strengthen its squad during the upcoming winter transfer window by signing Hamza Alaa, the goalkeeper of Al Ahly SC, on loan, as the coaching staff aims to reinforce this position before the season resumes.

The program "Stade Al-Mahwar" mentioned that Al-Masry's management has opened official communication channels with their counterparts at Al-Ahly to loan Hamza Alaa during the January transfer window, especially after his recent return to Al-Ahly following an incomplete overseas professional experience.

Tunisian coach Nabil Kouki, the head coach of Al-Masry Club, has requested the management to strengthen the goalkeeper position, due to the lack of a ready backup who can be relied upon in upcoming matches. He emphasized that this request is a precautionary technical measure and not a reflection on the current goalkeepers' abilities.

The source indicated that Al-Masry's intention to sign a new goalkeeper is not related to the performance of the duo Mahmoud Hamdy and Essam Tharwat, but rather aims to enhance competition and secure the team for the crucial remaining stages of the season, with a preliminary welcome to signing Hamza Alaa if the two clubs reach a final agreement.
