Real Madrid suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss to Celta Vigo in the fifteenth round of the Spanish League, in the match held at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Real Madrid's points tally remained at 36, temporarily in second place, four points behind Barcelona, while Celta Vigo raised their total to 19 points, sitting in tenth place.

Real Madrid received an early blow in the 24th minute after Militao was injured, and the team did not deliver the expected performance during the first half amid disciplined defense from Celta Vigo.

In the 54th minute, Celta Vigo scored the opening goal through Filip Sveinberg, taking advantage of a cross from Zaragoza, which Filip skillfully converted past goalkeeper Courtois, who failed to deal with it.

Real Madrid's situation worsened after Fran Garcia was sent off in the 65th minute with a second yellow card, just one minute after receiving the first. The team created scoring opportunities afterward but lacked effectiveness.

In the 90+1 minute, Alvaro Carreras received a red card, and then Celta Vigo managed to score a second goal in the 90+4 minute through Filip Sveinberg, assisted by Iago Aspas.
