Conceição Launches Strict Preparation Plan for Al-Ittihad in Dubai Camp
Sergio Conceição, the head coach of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, has approved the full program for the team's external training camp, which begins this evening in Dubai, UAE. This is part of the preparations for the resumption of competitions at the end of this month, following the Saudi national team's participation in the Arab Cup.
Al-Riyadiyah newspaper clarified that all of Al-Ittihad's international players will join the training camp until December 14, except for Abdulrahman Al-Aboud and Saleh Al-Shehri, who continue to participate with the Green Team in the Arab Cup tournament.
Conceição focused his plan on improving physical readiness through daily training sessions held twice a day, in the morning and evening, while providing the players with a special program to regain their match rhythm after the break.
The federation is expected to announce within the next two days the identity of the team that will face them in a friendly match in Dubai, as part of preparing the players tactically before the resumption of local competitions.
This training camp comes at a time when Conceição is striving to restore balance to the team after the Tigers experienced inconsistent results before the international break, making the Dubai period a crucial phase in preparing the players.
Al-Ittihad occupies seventh place in the Roshn Pro League standings with 14 points. The Portuguese coach aims to use the break period to get the team back on a positive results streak in the upcoming rounds.
