Al-Ittihad Decides the Fate of Al-Bishi and Al-Nashri Before Their Contracts End
The management of Al-Ittihad Club has clarified the situation regarding the future of the first team players, Awad Al-Nashri and Abdulaziz Al-Bishi, as their contracts are set to expire at the end of the current season in the summer of 2026.
The club's technical committee recommended not renewing the contracts of Al-Nashri and Al-Bishi, explaining that their services would not be needed in the upcoming season. However, both players will remain with the team until the end of their current contracts.
The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the management will not take any additional steps to renew the two contracts, opting instead to keep the players until the end of the season as part of the team's strategic planning.
This season, Al-Nashri played in only six matches, totaling 209 minutes, without scoring any goals, while Al-Bishi participated in just two matches for a total of 21 minutes. This led the technical committee to recommend not renewing their contracts.
The federation had renewed Al-Nashri's contract for two seasons with an option to extend for an additional year in July 2024, while Al-Bishi's contract was extended for four years in January 2022. However, recent performance did not justify continuing the renewal.
This step is part of Al-Ittihad's strategy to restructure the team, focusing on players who can make a real impact and contribute to achieving the goals of the upcoming season on all fronts.
