A source close to Darwin Núñez, the Saudi Al-Hilal striker, denied rumors about his desire to leave during the winter transfer window, confirming that the player is fully focused on the team.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his Facebook account that those close to the Uruguayan player denied the reports linking Núñez to leaving Al-Hilal.

Romano added: "Nunez is very happy with Al Hilal and is focused on the team. There is no intention to let him go in the current transfer window," in a clear message to curb the circulating rumors.

Nunez joined Al Hilal at the beginning of the current season, coming from English club Liverpool in a deal worth over 60 million euros, making it one of the most expensive transfers in the history of the Saudi league.

Some reports claimed that Núñez is considering a move to the Argentine club River Plate, but those reports were contradicted by statements from people close to the player, confirming his stability at Al Hilal.
