Danish coach Jes Thorup, the head coach of Al Ahly Club, has finalized his decision regarding the renewal of Ahmed Abdelkader's contract, the team's winger, which expires at the end of the current season, after reviewing the player's file over the past period. The coach has definitively decided not to include Abdelkader in his plans for the upcoming season.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, Thorup informed Al Ahly club management of his refusal to keep the player after evaluating his performance in the matches he participated in before his injury. The coach believes that the player's technical performance was not convincing and did not meet the team's needs for the upcoming phase.

The decision now lies with Al Ahly club management, which is considering either extending the player's contract and then loaning him out, or selling the remaining duration of his contract during the upcoming winter transfer window to gain financially before his contract expires at the end of the season.

Walid Salah El-Din, the football director of Al Ahly club, denied yesterday that any meetings had been held with players whose contracts expire at the end of the season, including Ahmed Abdelkader, emphasizing that all matters are still under review within the club.
