Ayman Hussein Reveals the Secret of the Victory Over Bahrain
Iraqi national team striker Ayman Hussein identified the reasons behind the 2-1 victory over the Bahraini national team at the start of the journey of the Lions of Mesopotamia in the Arab Cup Qatar 2025.
Ayman Hussein said: Some of our teammates in the Iraqi national team are truly influential, but we play with whoever is present, and as you have seen, the spirit was present on the field and we secured an important victory over the hardworking Bahraini team, which was a tough and respected team as usual.
He added: "We are currently focusing on the Arab Cup and the possibility of going far in the tournament, and after that, we will think about the World Cup qualifying playoffs for 2026. Naturally, the striker is always relied upon, and I am a soldier on the field applying what the coach asks of me."
His teammate Ali Jassim said: "The victory over Bahrain was very important, we players did what was required of us in the match, and thank God we crowned our efforts with an important win. Now we must look to the match against Sudan, which is a respected team, but we will try to achieve victory to ensure qualification."
He added: "I faced a muscle strain during the match and could not leave due to the exhaustion of substitutions, and thank God the situation is not worrisome.
