Salem Al-Dawsari, captain of the Saudi national team, once again proved his worth by assisting both winning goals against Oman on Tuesday, in the first round of Group B at the 2025 Arab Cup held at the Education City Stadium.

Al-Dosari contributed directly to Al-Akhdar's 2-1 victory by providing assists to both Firas Al-Buraikan and Saleh Al-Shehri, the attacking duo who scored the two goals.

This number has been absent from the Saudi national team for 18 months, with the last player to create two assists in a single match being Sultan Al-Ghannam against Pakistan, during the World Cup qualifiers on June 6, 2023.

In that previous match, Firas Al-Buraikan scored two goals assisted by Al-Ghannam, and the game ended with Saudi Arabia winning 3-0. Since then, the contributions of assists between the players have remained limited.

The last time Al-Dosari made a scoring contribution before this match was against Bahrain on June 5th, when he assisted Musab Al-Juwair in the World Cup qualifiers, before returning today to reaffirm his leadership role.

Al-Dosari continues to strengthen his position as a key leader and playmaker for the national team, delivering outstanding performances that boost the Green Falcons' chances of competing for the top spot in Group B of the 2025 Arab Cup.
