Al-Qadsiah Enters the Race to Sign Mohamed Salah in the Summer
Tuesday 02-12-2025
Egyptian international Mohamed Salah, Liverpool's star, remains a focus of interest for Saudi clubs despite his decline in form this season with the Reds, amid plans to strengthen the Saudi Professional League with global players.

Salah had rejected a £500 million offer to move to Saudi Arabia last summer, preferring to extend his contract with Liverpool for an additional two years after the end of last season.

Sources from the talkSPORT network have clarified that Saudi clubs are still seeking to sign Salah, the 33-year-old player, at some point, with Al Hilal remaining the main contender to acquire him, while Al Qadsiah has also officially expressed interest.

Salah is facing criticism after failing to reach his previous level of performance, especially after being benched in Liverpool's recent match against West Ham, which ended with a 2-0 victory for the team.

Expectations indicate that interest in the Salah deal may resume early next summer, with the possibility of it becoming part of the Saudi league's plan to attract global stars to raise the level of competition.

Alongside Salah, Saudi clubs have started working on another deal for Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior, aiming to sign him and raise his salary to become the highest in the world, as part of a plan to strengthen the league's attacking power.
