Al-Shabab Blocks Al-Ahly and Zamalek, Nears Signing Petrojet Star

The Saudi club Al-Shabab is close to finalizing the signing of Palestinian midfielder Hamed Hamdan from Petrojet, following a serious move by the club's management to secure his transfer in the upcoming winter transfer window, despite interest from Al-Ahly and Zamalek in signing him.

Samir Al-Hawi, the player's agent, revealed that Al-Shabab's management has engaged in serious negotiations over the past few days to sign Hamdan on loan until the end of the season. He pointed out that the communication was clear and that the Saudi club is keen to finalize the deal quickly.

Al-Hawi added that the youth management is preparing to present an official offer in the near future to finalize the agreement with Petrojet Club and acquire the player during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Previous reports confirmed that Al-Ahly and Zamalek were competing to sign Hamdan, before Al-Shabab made a significant move towards securing the player's services, with both major clubs closely monitoring the progress of the negotiations.

It is worth mentioning that Hamdan had rebelled against Petrojet Club last summer after he skipped training sessions to pressure for a transfer to Zamalek, but the deal fell through before the transfer window closed.

The circulating information indicates that there was a prior agreement between Zamalek and Petrojet for Hamdan to join in January for 20 million pounds, but the strong interest from Al Shabab in the negotiations could change the dynamics of the deal in the near future.
