Al Hilal Presses to Retain Yassine Bono and Prevent Him from Participating in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco
Al Hilal Saudi Club is considering the possibility of retaining their international Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bono in the upcoming period, which could prevent him from participating with the national team in the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco starting December 21.
Saudi journalist Khaled Abdulaziz revealed on his official Twitter account that Al-Hilal's management has contacted the Moroccan Football Federation to discuss the possibility of exempting Bono from participating in the continental tournament. He added that the club has sent an official letter regarding this matter.
Bono has delivered outstanding performances with Al Hilal in various competitions, establishing himself as one of the team's key players this season. Less than two weeks ago, he was also awarded the African Golden Ball at the ceremony held in the city of Rabat.
