Awad Insists on Staying at Zamalek Until the End of His Contract
Sports journalist Khaled El-Ghandour revealed that Mohamed Awad, the goalkeeper of Zamalek, wishes to remain with his team.
Al-Ghandour said on the program "Stad Al-Mahwar" that Awad informed those close to him of his desire to continue with Zamalek until the end of his contract.
He added that Zamalek's management recently put forward several proposals to financially benefit from selling Awad and rely on the other goalkeepers, namely Mohamed Sobhi, Al-Mahdi Suleiman, and the young goalkeeper Mahmoud El-Shenawy. However, Awad completely rejected any offers or discussions about his departure.
Zamalek drew 1-1 with Kaizer Chiefs in the match between them during the second round of the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
