Iraqi coach Ahmed Sabri gave three urgent recommendations to the Iraqi national team players, just two days before the Lions of Mesopotamia play their first match in the Arab Cup Qatar 2025, where the team begins its journey by facing Bahrain at Stadium 974 next Wednesday at 5:30 PM.

Iraq is placed in Group D alongside Algeria, Sudan, and Bahrain, a group considered one of the most competitive in the current edition due to the close level of the participating teams and the development of some of them in recent years.

He emphasized that the Iraqi national team does not want to merely participate, but must rise to the occasion and prove its presence among the participating Arab, Asian, and African teams.

Sabri added that the team includes a good group of players despite the absence of several professionals due to the timing of the tournament, pointing out that the players selected by coach Graham Arnold have the ability to deliver outstanding performances and appear strong throughout the competition.
