Pyramids Changes Position and Approves Walid El Karti's Joining the Moroccan National Team
The situation at Egypt's Pyramids Club has seen a notable development regarding the inclusion of player Walid El Karti in the Moroccan national team participating in the Arab Cup, scheduled to be held in Qatar from December 1 to 18.
Egyptian media sources reported that the Pyramids management is now moving towards giving El-Karti the green light to travel to Doha and join the national reserve team, after days of strictness regarding the call-up of the team's players for the tournament.
According to the same reports, Pyramids has officially approved the inclusion of their striker Marwan Hamdi in Egypt's national team squad participating in the Arab Cup, which has opened the door to resolving the Karti issue with the Moroccan national team.
The data indicates that there are currently intensive communications between the officials of the Moroccan national B team and the management of the Egyptian club, in preparation for announcing the final approval of the player's transfer.
Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić had previously stated that Pyramids players would not leave for their local national teams to participate in the Arab Cup, before the situation changed in the last few hours.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan B team, led by coach Tarik Sektioui, is in Group B alongside the teams of Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the Comoros Islands.
