Important Request from Al-Kholood President Regarding the Match Against Al-Ittihad
Sunday 30-11-2025
American Ben Harburg, owner of Al-Kholood Club, emphasized his desire for his team to face Al-Ittihad in the semi-final of the King Salman Cup on the grounds of Al-Rass Governorate, affirming his commitment to this choice despite financial considerations.

Al-Kholood qualified for the semi-finals for the first time in their history after their thrilling 4-3 victory over Al-Khaleej in the quarter-finals of the competition, achieving an unprecedented milestone for the club.

Harburg expressed his position following the announcement of the semifinal draw, stating that he prefers the match to be held in Al-Rass rather than Buraidah, emphasizing that his support for the Al-Rass community comes before any financial interests.

The Al-Kholood president wrote on the "X" platform that his team's match in the most prestigious tournament "must be held in Ar Rass," emphasizing his respect for the fans and his commitment to protecting the club's identity and its sports community.

Harbourgh explained that the financial returns would be greater if the match were held in Buraidah, but the club's connection to the people of Ar Rass is what makes him insist on hosting the game at their true home stadium.

It is worth mentioning that the King’s Cup semi-final draw also produced a strong matchup between Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal. The two matches are scheduled to take place on February 23 and 24 as part of the competition’s calendar.
