Danish coach Jess Thorup, head coach of Al Ahly's first football team, has requested a comprehensive report on all the youth sector teams within the Red Castle, in preparation for the team's participation in the Cairo Capital Cup in the coming days.

Thorup's request came simultaneously with his desire to watch videos of the youth teams participating in the Al-Ahly International Tournament, which started on Friday morning and continues until Sunday, with the aim of identifying the most promising players capable of supporting the first team.

According to what sports journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed on his program "Stad Al-Mahwar," the Danish coach has decided to promote several young players and integrate them with some players who have not had the opportunity to participate with the first team, with the plan to field them in the Egypt Capital Cup tournament.

Thorup has also decided to give the young goalkeeper Mohammed Siha a chance to start in the championship matches, while two goalkeepers from the youth team will be relied upon as substitutes, with their selection to be finalized in the coming days.

The report indicated that Al-Ahly's goalkeeping coach held a private session with Siha, during which he conveyed Thorup's full confidence in his abilities, emphasizing that the Egypt Capital Cup would be an ideal opportunity for the goalkeeper to prove himself and showcase his capabilities to the coaching staff and fans.
