Essam El-Hadary praised former Al Ahly star Mostafa Shobeir, Al Ahly's goalkeeper, for the outstanding performance he displayed in the recent match against Royal Army.
Al Ahly and Royal Army drew 1-1 in a match held as part of the second round of the group stage in the CAF Champions League.
Essam El-Hadary said in statements on "On Sports" channel: "The balls that reached Mostafa Shobeir, he dealt with them at a high level and was alert."
He added: "Shobeir was training with focus and wanted to show people that he is ready at any time, and that is something to his credit."
Al-Hadary concluded: "I love Mostafa Shobeir, and I love the way he looks when he is training."
