Refereeing Team for the Al-Ittihad vs Al-Shabab Match in the King’s Cup
The Saudi Football Federation announced the appointment of a Dutch refereeing team led by international referee Danny Makkelie to officiate the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Shabab, scheduled to take place on Saturday as part of the King’s Cup quarter-final competition.
Makkelie will be assisted in managing the match by Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries as assistant referees, while the role of the fourth official has been assigned to the Saudi referee Abdullah Al-Harbi. Dutch referee Clay Roberti will oversee the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, with assistance from the Saudi referee Mohammed Al-Abkari.
The Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium in Jeddah is scheduled to host the highly anticipated match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Shabab at 8:30 PM.
The match comes as both teams strive to reach the semifinals of the most prestigious tournament in Saudi football.
