Thorup Grants Al Ahly Players 5 Days Off
Danish coach Jess Thorup, head coach of Al Ahly, has determined the length of the vacation granted to the first-team players after returning from Morocco, following their match against Wydad AC in the CAF Champions League.
Al Ahly had drawn 1-1 against Raja Casablanca in the match held on Friday evening as part of the second round of the group stage of the continental tournament.
According to the club's announcement, Thorup decided to grant Al Ahly players a five-day rest after the team's arrival in Cairo on Saturday morning, following a flight that lasted about five hours.
Al Ahly will begin preparations for their match against Enppi in the Egypt Capital Cup, scheduled for December 11, following the end of the rest period.
Thorup left for Denmark accompanied by his support staff as soon as Al Ahly's delegation arrived at Cairo Airport, to spend a short vacation and check on their families, taking advantage of the five-day rest period granted to the team.
