Al Ahly Requires Palestinian Passport to Sign Pablo Sabbagh
Friday 28-11-2025
The Egyptian club Al Ahly continues its efforts to strengthen the attacking line during the upcoming winter transfer window, with Pablo Sabbagh, the striker of South Korea's Suwon Samsung, becoming a serious target of interest for the Red Castle's management.

Youm7 website revealed that Al Ahly stipulated completing the contract with Pablo Sabbagh only if he succeeds in obtaining a Palestinian passport, so that he can be registered as a local player, especially since he currently holds only Colombian and Syrian nationalities.

Al-Ahli officials base this condition on the fact that the player's mother is Palestinian, which grants him the right to obtain a Palestinian passport, making it easier to register him locally, similar to the case of Wissam Abu Ali.

Al Ahly's management is currently working on completing the player's passport procedures before entering into official negotiations with the South Korean club Suwon, which does not object to selling the striker in January, provided they receive a suitable financial offer.

The report indicated that Pablo Sabbagh welcomes the move to Al Ahly and has a strong desire to embark on a new professional experience in the Egyptian league in the near future.
