Ahmed Hamdy Decides His Position and Requests to Leave Zamalek in January Transfers
Ahmed Hamdy, the midfielder of the first football team at Zamalek Club, has decided to leave the White Castle during the upcoming winter transfer period, due to being excluded from the technical staff's plans this season.
According to press reports, Ahmed Hamdy informed Zamalek management of his desire to leave in January, protesting his repeated exclusion from match squads, which was clearly evident after his omission from the list for the upcoming match against South African Kaizer Chiefs scheduled for next Saturday, as part of the second round of the group stage of the Confederation Cup.
Ahmed Hamdy has participated in only 7 matches this season wearing the Zamalek jersey, during which he assisted two goals but was unable to score himself, prompting him to consider a new experience in search of continuous playtime.
Sources indicate that Zamalek management is likely to approve the player's departure in January, especially as his contract expires at the end of the current season and there is no intention to renew it, to avoid losing him for free next summer.
