Salah Eldin Mosaddak Chooses Wydad After Terminating Contract with Zamalek
Moroccan defender Salah Eldin Mosaddak, former player of Zamalek, has confirmed his next destination following the unilateral termination of his contract with the club this week due to unpaid overdue financial dues.
According to what journalist Khaled Al-Ghandour revealed on his Facebook account, Mossadek has decided to transfer to Wydad Casablanca, thus returning to the Moroccan league less than a year after leaving it.
The Moroccan defender left Cairo heading directly to his country after terminating his contract, in preparation for officially joining Wydad in the near future. Meanwhile, he is preparing to file a complaint against Zamalek with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) to claim his overdue payments.
Mossadek joined Zamalek last February, coming from Nahdat Zemamra, on a contract lasting three and a half seasons. However, he only participated in 16 matches across all competitions before his financial dispute with the club worsened.
Moroccan press reports indicate that the player intends to claim the full remaining value of his contract with Zamalek, estimated at around one million dollars, following the final termination of the contract.
With Mossadek's return to Morocco through Wydad, the curtain falls on a short and unsuccessful stint wearing the Zamalek jersey, which ended with a financial dispute that may be escalated to FIFA in the near future.
