Han Wilhoft King, the 19-year-old young player for Manchester City, told The Guardian that he decided to leave professional football to dedicate himself to studying law at Oxford University.

King said: "I don't know what it is, maybe the environment. I often feel bored too, I have always felt a lack of encouragement regarding football, don't get me wrong, I loved it, but I felt that I could do more."

He added: "I don't want to say out of disappointment, but you realize that training with the first team became something no one looked forward to, strangely."

He continued: "We ran after the ball like dogs for 60 minutes, it's not a very enjoyable experience, especially when you try to compare yourself to De Bruyne or Gundogan or Foden, you can't get close to them, so the feeling of not wanting to do it goes beyond awe."

Finally, he commented: "You earn good money, but how much will you enjoy it? In my mind, I wasn't sure. Also, at best, you will play for 10 or 15 years and then, what?".

It is worth mentioning that Wilhoft King, who holds English, American, Chinese, and Indian nationalities, and who has trained under Pep Guardiola with the first team, is a midfielder who was expected to be promising, and he grew up at Tottenham Hotspur club.
