Spanish club Atlético Madrid has shown interest in the young Brazilian striker Eguinaldo de Souza from the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, according to journalist Rudy Galetti, as reported by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
Atlético Madrid's interest in the player stems from the noticeable improvement in the performance of 21-year-old Eguinaldo recently, under the guidance of Turkish head coach Arda Turan, the former player of the Spanish capital club.
The player joined Shakhtar in 2023 from the Brazilian club Vasco da Gama for a fee of 3.5 million euros and signed a contract extending until 2028.
Since his arrival, he has participated in 68 matches with the team, scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists.
