Portuguese coach Sérgio Conceição, head of Al-Ittihad club, has decided on the player who will take on the right-back position in the upcoming quarter-final match against Al-Shabab in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup, scheduled for next Saturday.

Coach Conceição began preparing the team for the highly anticipated match at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, with a strong focus on defensive tactics and high pressing.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that Conceição intends to field Muhannad Al-Shanqeeti on the right flank as a replacement for Ahmed Al-Julaidan, who has been absent from the team after being sent off in the round of 16 match against Al-Nassr in the tournament.

Al-Ittihad secured their spot in the quarterfinals following an exciting 2-1 victory over Al-Nassr, delivering one of their strongest performances of the season in the cup competition.

Al-Ittihad aims to advance to the semifinals by defeating Al-Shabab, especially since the team is looking to maintain its strong form in the competition and continue contending for the title.
