The Spanish newspaper "Sport" confirmed that Bayern Munich's sporting director, Max Eberl, spoke clearly about the future of English striker Harry Kane, emphasizing that the club does not take Barcelona's interest in the player seriously.

Eberl explained that the management will meet with Kimmich in January 2026 to discuss his future, saying: "We will meet with Kimmich as agreed. Everyone can see how happy and comfortable he is at Bayern, and I am not at all concerned about the talk regarding his departure."

Eberl confirmed, according to what the newspaper published, that Kane is experiencing the best period of his career and has a great opportunity to achieve significant accomplishments with the team both individually and collectively.

He added: "I believe Harry deserves to be among the top three in the Ballon d'Or. If I had a vote, I would choose him as number one for what he contributes on the field. For us, he is an extremely important player."

Eberl's statements clarify that Bayern Munich is keen on keeping Kane and may submit an offer to renew his contract, which expires in 2027. The player is seeking a long-term deal, while the Bavarian club recognizes the need to make a significant effort to convince him, especially since his contract includes a release clause of 65 million euros for next summer.

The newspaper pointed out that Barcelona inquired about Kane's status as part of their search for a new striker, especially with Robert Lewandowski's contract nearing its end and the difficulty of the striker market and their high value. This will prompt the club to assess its financial capabilities before considering such a move.
