Milan mourns legendary goalkeeper Lorenzo Buffon

Italian club AC Milan mourned their legendary goalkeeper Lorenzo Buffon, who passed away today at the age of 95.

The club's account on the X app wrote: "Thanks to his gloved hands, Milan became a champion of countless victories in the 1950s."

He added: "The great Lorenzo has left us, the kind man with a big heart for the Rossoneri. With deep sadness and sorrow, we bid farewell to Lorenzo Buffon and honor his memory."

Buffon played 10 seasons for Milan, 3 for Inter, one season with Fiorentina, and another with Genoa, in addition to his time with other clubs and his appearances for the Italian national team.

Buffon was known for his great skill in goalkeeping, and during the 1950s, he was one of the most prominent goalkeepers in the world alongside the Soviet Lev Yashin.
