Monday 24-11-2025
Ahmed Gaballah, the doctor of Al Ahly's first football team, revealed details about the injuries sustained by the trio Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mohamed Shokry, and Ahmed Abdelkader, following their MRI scans which precisely determined the nature of each injury.

Gaballah explained that the scans confirmed that goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy suffered a second-degree strain in the adductor muscle. This injury occurred during the match against Algeria's JS Kabylie in the first round of the group stage of the CAF Champions League, which Al Ahly won 4-1 at Cairo Stadium.

The Al-Ahly doctor also confirmed that left-back Mohamed Shokry is suffering from a mild first-degree strain in the calf muscle, which requires him to have an appropriate period of rest and rehabilitation to ensure a safe return. He also explained that the scans revealed that winger Ahmed Abdelkader has a partial tear in the hamstring muscle.

Each player is scheduled to begin a personalized treatment and rehabilitation program under the supervision of the medical team, with the aim of fully preparing them to return to training and participate in matches as soon as possible, depending on each case's response to the treatment.
